I'm with Daryl! The Cummins is just the icing on the Dodge cake as far as I'm concerned. 8) I may not have owned 22 of them, but I've driven that many. I started 32 years ago, the guy I worked for in high school had a bunch of them, 68, 69, 70, 72, 2-73's, 76, 77, 78, 79, 83. That's where I learned about them. I've had a 85, 88 RC with a 440 in it, and a bunch of cars. I went to chevys for a while, and since I got my 92, I've gone back to the dodge family. It's all dodge here now.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

hell ya! i love the truck 1st, the engine 2nd. ive had 8 81-93 trucks and one 88 rc. 4 have had diesels. id buy a gasser dodge before a cummins ford/chevy/whatever else. for me, this is the only truck to buy, i dont consider anything else. the wife hates it but shes finally come to accept it...kinda. i grew up with my dad driving mostly late 70's trucks, and his last truck was a 82 D350 before he went soft and bought a new 95.

some of the big block chevy truck pullers around here have bought 24v tow rigs, and spout off about "i didnt buy a dodge, i bought a cummins". wtf dude, im pretty sure it says dodge on the title. idiots.

I was always a chevy guy. Everything I had was a 350 small block. S10, 1/2 ton, streetrod, lobster boat, 1 ton rack. I like all brands depending on years and set ups. I really liked the 225's. My dad had a 68 1 ton with a dump. It had a 225 with a 4 speed and all stories aside, he would stack 4 foot long firewood 2 rows deep and well over 6 feet high. He would go across the paper co scales with over 10 ton on the back. Over 3.5 cords. The truck was in 1st gear on every hill but it made it. I also worked for a parts store and 1 of their trucks was a mid 80's with a 225 and a 904 auto. What a great little truck that was. Fun to drive with the super easy power steering. I wish I could have found a 225 equiped Dart for a high school rig but up here they were all rotted by then.
