I got to help clean this up today. The guy in the truck had to be cut out. He is some lucky. The pics don't show but the dump truck took out a big ass pole with the cab of the truck. The dump driver came back from the hospital at the end to help clean up. He blew his rear driveshaft ( between the axles ) and it ripped all his air lines off. He blew through a 4 way intersection and was on 2 wheels while running the pick up over. There was sand from his truck 10 feet up on a building wedged in the vinal siding.

The reporter that wrote that did a very good job in that the details were some of the best.

Heavy objects in motion are hard to stop. I'd say all were very lucky to be alive.

Yup, It was pretty ugly. We took down our skidsteer, backhoe and 2 trucks to clean everything up. We had to dig up the ground where the truck lost fuel and oil. That soil needs to be trucked about a hundred miles to a haz mat sight. The Department of Environmental Protection was there and kept testing the soil as we dug. The guy in the pickup broke his neck. He should be just fine as it just cracked it and left his spinal cord intact. Once they cut the roof off the truck he wanted to walk but the emt's made him stay put. Good thing.
