silly?

1.14 sec 60 foot

thats zero to 70 mph in less than 1.2 seconds silly

all the 'silly' truck is for is to get my bike to the track (bike, shop, house on wheels)

of course there are moments on the hwy - like after the race and everyone is leaving together and one of your buddies tries to pass you...

they are in for a big surprise next time they try!

Boy-Howdy!

I've only recently taken to making passes at the local test-n-tune. I had the pleasure of lining-up with a 2006 Porsche Carrera (NOT the Turbo version as best I know).

With the usual IP tweaks, PDR 190 injectors, and a little window-washing fluid, I got him with a 9.98 @ 66.13 to his 10.65 @ 80.35.

The crowd seemed to enjoy seeing an 'ol farm truck whoop an import as such.

Good times. :D

okay if anyone is still watching this thread, I have a question.

boost referenced fuel pressure regulators, do they adjust on a scale or do they just come on at X amount of boost and regulate fuel pressure to X psi. Example, say 10 lbs fuel pressure @ 10 lbs boost. then 20psi @ 20 lbs boost, 30psi @ 30 lbs boost and so on?

Clear as Mud? Better yet just tell me how they work, forget my bumbling attempt trying to figure it out. :?

the one's i'm experienced with stay off until a set boost amount is reached then open to allow a preset fuel pressure to move. they dont ramp fuel pressure with boost, they just use the boost signal to turn the fuel on and off. i guess one could use a boost controller to send a variable signal to the regulator to kick it on and off to regulate fuel flow at lower boost levels but i've never tried that.

of course, there may be regulators that do ramp fuel pressure with boost pressure. maybe the big hp and big $$$ experts will step in here.

My Aeromotive regulator ramps fuel press 1 to 1 with boost. I have a adjustable boost elbow inline with its signal so it really ramps at about .75 to 1.

I had an idea   pardon the rough sketch
.Image

I've been watching this thread for a while and I think I have a possible solution for a dual feed VE.

1. keep the original fuel supply system stock, well almost.
2. a secondary supply line to VE using the fuel shut off hole.
3. a high pressure electric pump (minimum of 120psi) Electric pump set to turn on around 12psi of boost
4. 2 check valves, see diagram
5. a variable fuel regulator. set to open @ around 15psi boost, and by the time you were within 5psi maximum boost, you would have the regulator opened to 120psi of fuel supply line pressure.
6. line from tank to where it tee's would have to be upraded to say a 1/2 inch line?
7. possibly install one filter before tee to eliminate the need for two filters.

The idea is that the stock fuel system would supply all fuel needs while driving normaly and the secondary system would engage only when when really stepping on the go peddle. It would also eliminate the annoyance of having an electric pump running all the time, even with the truck not running but having the key on to listen to tunes while installing the next upgrade. It should also work for those who have the capability to use more fuel than the internal vane pump can supply. also, the point where the secondary system engages could be adjusted to suit personal use, I just used those numbers as the place I would probably start at.

Am I completly off my rocker?

YUPP

just kiddin

it is pretty much the same thing i designed for josh

cept my design has two pick ups and uses only one check valve

why do you think there is a need for 2 ck vlv's in same line?
