2nd gen frame 1st gen body

Postby redneckroot » Fri Sep 02, 2011 5:18 pm

I have an extended cab 1st gen sitting here. Currently its a 2wd but will be slowly getting put together as a 4x4 puller. That being said I'd like to run a 2nd gen front suspension however the rules will not let me put my own frame mounts on to do so. But they will allow me to run a 2nd gen frame. So the question is has anyone done it? Does anyone have measurements axle to axle? I know mounting the body will take some fab work but I'm not worried about that just yet.

Since someone will probably ask the reason I want to run the 2nd gen suspension is to help avoid common problems with front leaf springs and pulling. Thanks.

There use to be one that was done like that, it pulled at schied years ago. There is a big gap between the cab and bed he ran stacks up threw.

Looking for some more info. Anyone have some insite? Anyone else pull with full pull productions or NADM?
