I've used JB Weld, the quick stuff, on a few GAS tanks. I don't know how the diesel does on it.

I think some of that loctite 5min epoxy would work too

They make a 2 part epoxy for gas tank repair. Its the dough type that you knead together. Available at any parts store. Not 100% sure its good with diesel but if it stands up to gas I would think it would be fine.

How big is the hole? If it's small use a solder gun. Heat the plastic and push it around to plug the hole, then smooth it over. Or if it's bigger, tap it to pipe thread and screw in a PVC plug with some pipe dope on it. Worked for me before.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

NAPA sells an epoxy especially for fuel tanks. You lay a fiber layer down and spread the epoxy over it. It gets really hot. We used to used it on OTR truck alumuninum tanks so should work fine for you.

Screw with a piece of rubber on it. Like a bike inner tube piece. Worked for a couple years on my car now lol
