Shackle flips

Postby oldestof11 » Sun Mar 18, 2012 12:55 pm

I have been looking at doing a shackle flip. I saw some nice beefy ones from a guy on RamCharger central but cannot find a website to buy them or get a quote.

Andrew, don't you have them?

Also, anyone done a flip with the stock parts?

There is no website. I think he is on this site though, "jungle" is his forum name.

Can you tell me what a "shackle flip" accomplishes? Will this lower or raise it?

.....without having a crazy stack of rear blocks.

It's for those who think they need insanely hard to get into trucks, the kind of people who don't mind if the wife, G/F, etc. complain when they have to get into it.
The kind of understanding "significant other", like Jon has.

Hell, The Kelvinator is hard enough for me to get my butt into, with stock 6 inch blocks, much less actually lifting the damned thing!

Also used for eliminating the block. Blocks=axle wrap, which isn't good. Most people are fine with the stock setup, but if you use the truck hard it can lead to broken stuffs.

An awesome wife. That is what should be in those quotation marks. 8)

No steps and only being 5'7", she has to literally jump in!
