Death Wobble

OK so Friday night on my way home from a buddys shop my old 93 started to Death Wobble. Previosly I only had 1 incedent of this and it was on a very rough road. Anywho now I can't get it not to wobble at about 35-45mph. I thought it was the losse front spring hangar so I got that fixed today but it didn't fix the wobble. Then I found a loose spring eye bolt so I tightend it up but still death wobble. Then I checked the alignment with a tape and found it was toed in about 3/8s so I adjusted that but still wobbles at 35-45. The PO put adjustable king pins in and I noticed the tires were sucked in at the bottom so I adjusted them a smidge but it didn't help.

Everything else is tight on the truck so why the fcuk is it still wobbling . I only had the 1 issue prior to friday night.

Is the mounting plate for the steering box tight?

Steering box bolts tight?

Pitman arm tight on steering shaft?

If you turn the steering input shaft by hand near the steering box, do the frame flex very much?

All of the above were issues I had to take care of my my 92.

The only thing that has any slop is the drag link at the arm end and its miniscule.

Shoot the whole front end on my 90 was wore out and it still drove 10 times better than this turd.

How old are the tires?

It only does it from 35-45? Can you just go faster than that and it quits? Sounds like tires to me.

I wouldn't rule out the drag link.

Well I got it to stop. I robbed the steering stabilizer off the 90 and tossed it on.

And yes it was just from 35-45 made it a bitch to drive through town.

More than once I've seen warped brake rotors cause this.
In my opinion the stabilizer is just masking the original problem.

Mine used to do that every once in a while at about 35-40mph. I never really thought much of it tho sinse it wasnt quite as bad as what your saying. After i replaced my tie rods it went away

If its bad enough it will eat the stabilizer. I have been in that fight more then once but usually on jeeps and 2nd gens. I'd lay under it and have someone move the wheel back and forth might be something else thats loose under there. I had a wrangler a few years ago that I couldn't figure out until I was changing ball joints and saw the tube move in the pumpkin. The plug welds let go and allowed it to move very slightly up and down, changed out the axle and it never did it again. I doubt it would be that on your truck.

Just make sure it's in neutral first.
