Not unusual to have just the cup worn and the spring getting tired and loosing its length. They weren't even loose on my '93, but were tired enough to make my wheels tilt in a bit. The bushing on the one side in the 92 I had, almost came out in 2 pieces.
The spring seat being worn, is probably due to the loose wheel. Bushing no longer tight......
