I like my skyjacker shocks. Seem to ride pretty decent for a 1st gen.
1990 Restored with a bit of aftermarket goodies might be for sale? 1993 ex. cab 2wd soon to be 4wd Newest Project 1998 ex. cab 12v 4x4 now a 5 speed SOLD
Most, if not all, lift kit manufacturers use Gabriel shocks. They may be revalved to their specs aka "soft ride Skyjackers" but Gabriels reguardless with a different part # slammed on it.
I agree that Bilstein 5100 is the best shock if you want to buy a quality product with a no b.s. lifetime warranty, but if you're not willing to spend the extra money then get the Gabriels. I recommend calling the guys at Rough Country because they sell them way cheaper than anyone and they will stand behind them when they blow within warranty time.

Charlie, that is bilstein canada. You may want to google to get bilstein in the us, prices may be better. I paid about $60 each for the fronts on my 2wd from E-Shock.com or something like that. Not a bad price I thought.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

It made a big difference from the Skyjackers I had before, and the old shocks was just 1 year old, so they weren't worn out. (Except for one of the rear shocks that was shot for no apparent reason...)
Even if it's twice the price they're still worth it.
Anyone heard good, bad, indifferent on KYB? Local store has a sale, but if the Billsteins are way better, I'll suck it up go to AutoZone, lol.
