Hey gents got some more done today.

Here's my m715 4bt powered with an hx35 for those who commented


I sprayed the rear of the truck the color it will all be


And here's the new lights


Got a lot more wood done, still one last board to get in


And here's the stack all mounted. Two of the bolts by some stroke of luck lined up with the angle iron beneath the wood


Hoping to finish the wood tomorrow and mount the bed

Got the rear glass in again and made the spacers for the frame. Monday I'll get the Ubolts to hold her down.

Why didn't you get some round lights to go in the holes in the bed? LEDs can be had reasonable and are brighter than heck. The wood looks awesome!

Thanks guys, actually did go with LEDs for the holes in the deck. They're amber strobes though, they'll get hooked up once my toolboxes come in. Today I was able to get the exhaust run. Had to rework the trans crossmember but it's 4in all the way to the stack now. Tomorrow I'll get some ubolts, and she should be road worthy.

Very cool man! No gooseneck?

Yeah I thought about the gooseneck, but I really have no use for one. The deck height is also every bit of 47 inches. Most of my towing is with equipment trailers on pintle hitches, hence the dual pintles off the rear.

Tomorrow I am getting my u bolts made and mounting the bed, also I plan on wiring up my rear clearance lights. Once I get some more cash I found the toolboxes I'm going to run, some 30x18x18 UWS aluminum's.

Hey Gents, I got the u bolts made today and the bed is securely in place. I also mounted and wired my rear clearance/marker lights. They're 3/4 round LEDs. They are a little brighter than they look in the picture.

looks pretty good, but can we see a pick with both rear wheels on it? how wide is that bed? does the bed cover the wheels? also if you only bolted the bed on with u-bolts, you should start thinking about welding a plate onto the channels that ride on top of the frame and then bolt it to the frame. otherwise if that bed gets hit your cab is going to be in trouble.also beds and boxes held on with u-bolts usually have complete contact along the entire length of the frame with a wood isolator in between. take a look at any medium duty truck and see how they do it. can you show some detail pics of the u-bolts and spacers? sounds like you kinda mixed bolt on and u-bolt on methodology. at any rate you need the plates to be safe(r).

Having my new wheels mounted tomorrow so pics of all six on the ground then. It should cover both of them based on my measurements though.

Also, the rear mounts are U bolts, and the front are 1/4 plate with 9/16th grade 8 hardware welded to the frame. Couldn't fit a Ubolt between the driver side front frame rail and the tank even if I wanted to. My spacer are wooden, and 2 feet long in the front and rear as well as the middle hump section for contact everywhere except the rise/run sections.

The wheels the morons ordered don't fit on my 5/8th studs. What the *&%^ This is really bothering me.
